Please join us for this month’s meeting of the West Pine-Laclede Neighborhood Association, this coining Tuesday, December 9th, at 7 p.m. at Northwest Coffee.
At the moment, we have no featured guest speakers on the agenda.
We do, however, have a wonderful bit of news to share with you: After a several months-long delay caused in large part by greater than expected capital improvements and long-deferred ordinary maintenance, the Scottish Arms is re-opening.
A “soft opening” is scheduled from Thursday, December 11th through Sunday, December 14th, beginning at 5 p.m. each day.
All members of the WPLNA are welcome at the “soft opening,” as is the general public.
The kitchen will be open until 10 p.m. on Thursday; Friday; & Saturday, closing at 9 p.m. on Sunday.
Regular business hours for the Scottish Arms will begin on Wednesday, December 17th, with the pub scheduled to be open Wednesday through Sunday (closed on Monday & Tuesday).
Kitchen hours will be identical to those listed above, with the “final call” for drinks sometime shortly before 1 a.m.
Marla, the new owner of the Scottish Arms, reminds us that a “soft opening” will “give us the opportunity to work out the kinks and get our systems down with friends and understanding people in the room. So please be patient with us..”
She also notes that during the “soft opening” the Arms will serve “a limited menu, with longtime favorites on it, along with what hopefully will become new favorites.”
We welcome with open arms; thirsty mouths; and hungry stomachs the Scottish Arms back to the neighborhood and look forward to seeing you there!
