Crown Loft resident autos vandalized

Theresa Smith, WPLNA member and President of the Crown Lofts Condo Association, brought this matter to our attention: Two cars parked in the Crown Lofts Visitor Parking Lot were vandalized on Sunday afternoon (July 16, 2023). The damage was smashed windows on cars in the process of unloading groceries.

Fatal shooting in neighborhood

We are very sorry to report that there was a fatal shooting at Laclede and Taylor yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, May 3).  The shooting was the direct result of a domestic dispute where the victim ran from a building on Forest Park Boulevard before being gunned down at Laclede and Taylor.  Two suspects have been arrested and are in police custody.

NEIGHBORHOOD CRIME UPDATE

We have two unfortunate incidents to report: Armed robbery : an Uber-Eats driver was robbed on Thanksgiving Eve at about 11:30 pm in front of 4265 West Pine (just east of Boyle). Jim Whyte of the CWE Neighborhood Security Initiative is awaiting a full report from the STLPD but it is known that the two suspects are young males and images were caught on camera.  As of this writing the suspects are at large. Today two very nice stolen mens bicycles were found in our neighborhood today and have been turned into Jim Whyte’s Neighborhood Security Initiative office.
