NEIGHBORHOOD CRIME UPDATE

We have two unfortunate incidents to report: Armed robbery : an Uber-Eats driver was robbed on Thanksgiving Eve at about 11:30 pm in front of 4265 West Pine (just east of Boyle). Today two very nice stolen mens bicycles were found in our neighborhood today and have been turned into Jim Whyte’s Neighborhood Security Initiative office. CARJACKING IN THE CWE   Saturday night (January 23) there was a reported robbery/carjacking incident at 4108 West Pine.  At approximately 9:05 pm the male victim stated he arrived home when a young man knocked on his car window.  He opened the car door, and the suspect displayed a gun and demanded the car.  The victim complied and the suspect drove west in the victim’s car toward Boyle. Carjacking incidents

There have been 2 recent carjacking incidents which have similarities to previous incidents that happened in September.  There was a reported incident on 11/01/20, 11 pm, at 4111 West Pine.  The male victim reported, after parking his car, he was approached by 2, young, male, suspects who demanded his keys.  The suspects took his car and fled the area.  The next incident was reported on 11/04/20, 7 pm, at Taylor and West Pine.  At least 3 young Read More…

Neighborhood Security Initiative Update

September 22 update: I just received a call from Captain Mike Mueller, Commander of District 5, the police arrested 2 suspects last night in one of the stolen vehicles taken from the area of Laclede and Boyle and third suspect has been identified and is wanted.  The police are confident these are the subjects responsible for the recent robberies and carjackings.  We will still have a detail out since there is a subject still at-large.Jim Whyte Read More…
