Security Focus of 2/10 WPLNA Meeting

Jim Whyte, director of the CWE’s Neighborhood Security Initiative, will be our guest speaker at the West Pine-Laclede Neighborhood Association meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 7pm at Northwest Coffee,  4251 Laclede. Jim will give a brief presentation on the work of the NSI and take any and all questions about security concerns in our neighborhood.

Community Garden Plots Available

The Boyle/Laclede Community Garden is accepting applications for the 2015 growing season. The Community Garden is located at the intersection of Boyle and Laclede Avenues and has raised bed plots available.  Community Garden gardeners from last season have priority plot assignment through January 31st. Crime alert – vehicle break-ins

Dear neighbors, There have been numerous reports of vehicle break-ins in our area over the past couple of months.  The most recent one happened in the owner’s driveway in the 4100 block of West Pine, where not only was the car broken into, but a bag from St. Joseph Academy was left in the truck by the thief.   Break-ins have been reported for vehicles parked on the street, in driveways and even in secured parking lots.
