CARE STL appeal for dog adoptions

CARE STL is in REAL TROUBLE! We have over 30 dogs in crates. In the past ten days, 82d ogs have entered our shelter. Believe it or not, that used to be our top capacity. We now have 138 dogs in our shelter and 147 dogs in foster care. Our grand total of animals, including our cats, equals 550 animals in our care right now and 371 in foster homes. It’s a bit overwhelming to say the least! Alley Yard Waste Dumpsters: Weekly alley yard waste collections’ last days will be Thursday, December 15, 2022 and Friday, December 16, 2022. NEIGHBORHOOD CRIME UPDATE

We have two unfortunate incidents to report: Armed robbery : an Uber-Eats driver was robbed on Thanksgiving Eve at about 11:30 pm in front of 4265 West Pine (just east of Boyle). Jim Whyte of the CWE Neighborhood Security Initiative is awaiting a full report from the STLPD but it is known that the two suspects are young males and images were caught on camera.  As of this writing the suspects are at large. 17th Ward Meeting 11/9/22

Join Alderwoman Pihl and the American Federation of Teachers – Local 420 at the 17th Ward Meeting on Wednesday, November 9, from 6:30 – 8 pm at Claim Academy (4356 Lindell Blvd). We will hear from national tax incentive expert Greg LeRoy of Good Jobs First and the impact of tax incentives on public school funding. We will also reflect on CVPA and public safety.
