We are recruiting residents who walk the neighborhood daily and are willing to commit to picking up garbage in our alleys and streets.
It can be a great form of exercise to walk and an opportunity to keep our business and residential blocks clean.
To help facilitate this effort we are offering a grabber or pair of gloves to those that can make a signed commitment to this task. All you need to do is provide the bag and make sure that the litter is disposed of properly in either the recycle bin or trash bins in alleys.
This is a temporary offer and we are limited as to how many we can give out, but it will be on an honor system. The first 15 people who can make a commitment will get them.
The goal is to help with the clean up and get your exercise in also. The picking up is not limited to just the West Pine/Laclede boundaries in that Lindell, Sarah and Forest Park, Newstead, Euclid, and Vandeventer could also use some help.
Remember the goal is to get exercise but lend a helping hand at the same time!

If you take pictures of yourself at work, please email to me and we can post some on our web site.
We are also looking for volunteers to trim smaller tree branches that block stop signs at corners. We will provide the tools to do so.
